I thought I will probably be this way the rest of my life. And I just kind of accepted that attitude. I was doing exercises because I knew I would be in so much pain at the end of the day. Not that I was really getting anything out of it. Today, I can pull myself all the way up and it doesn’t hurt. I mean, my back is actually doing it.

Today we tried to lift your legs with you on your back. How far could we lift them? Not more than two inches. He is up to about an 80 degree straight leg raise. That’s wild. Definitely a miracle! It has been seven or eight months since I lifted my legs up that high. How far did you walk yesterday? Four miles!

I thought I was doing real good six months after surgery, and I tried to get out of bed in the morning. I couldn’t get out of bed. I felt more or less paralyzed as it was pinching a nerve in my back. It felt that it was right on the bone and drawn up tight. It seems like it just keeps getting tighter and tighter. It feels like a muscle drawing up in there. The longer you let it go the more of a problem it probably is to get out? That is right. It doesn’t hurt anywhere but the hamstrings!

I haven’t been able to bend over this far in I don’t know how long. I feel like I have a whole new movement. This is the furthest I have been able to bend back since the accident! I mean look at that! Usually it is real tight, like yesterday this is probably as far as I could go. I mean look at that!

I re-injured my back. It’s really sore and it spasms. It’s almost like somebody hit your lower back with a bat. It’s that intense when the spasms hit. You haven’t done that in a while have you? Are you surprised? Yeah! It’s not as stiff. How much would you say the pain has been relieved just from Friday’s treatment? Considerable. I would say 30-40%.

I had trouble walking for more than a half a mile, standing for more than 10 minutes. I was in such a chronic situation that I had trouble being active at all. I think the big thing for me was understanding my pain and where it was coming from. And what was causing it. In my case it was a lot of adhesions and really tight areas that no one had ever identified before. It feels like your whole body is wrapped in saran wrap. It is sort of a tightness and discomfort that you really can’t describe. And in my case, I had it so long I didn’t even realize I had it. Until you start to free it up and you start to see what movement you have coming back that you didn’t have before. Consecutively, as the treatment has gone on, I have had tons and tons of improvement with better movement and being able to be active. This has been an unbelievable experience for me in terms of a treatment standpoint. I was at a point where I was really frustrated and had really almost given up hope as to what the physical therapy options were out there. When I heard about the therapy, I actually had some doubts about it. It totally changed my view on physical therapy. It totally changed my view and understanding of the body. And changed my life.

It is an aching and it goes to a throb’ and it will go down my leg. As the day goes on it gets worse and worse. I’m sore. It is like somebody beat on me. On the average pain scale mostly 7-8. A lot better! A lot better!

Before the accident, I could do situps and pushups and I exercised. And since the wreck, I haven’t been able to do any of it. Before today, I couldn’t do that. I just couldn’t do it. It hurt to even try. Amazing! I couldn’t even get the least bit back. That feels wonderful! I can’t believe it! This is great. I noticed after just one treatment I could bend over and touch the floor and I haven’t been able to do it in six months. I love having movement in my back. I found doing my housework more pleasant. It makes me feel like, hey, I am going to be 100%.

I feel it right there (pointing to sacroiliac). It feels like a pull. How has that changed? It doesn’t pull. I can go all the way down here and I don’t feel the pain in my sacroiliac. And that’s two treatments.

Three years ago, I was in a car accident and got rear ended on a highway. I was in a little car. He was in an SUV and hit on the back left side of the car, really hard. There’s just a feeling down this leg now of like always having a tightness and tingling when it’s flared, it’s radicular pain. It’s like a nerve pain. It will get flared if I do certain things if I position myself in a bad position for longer than five minutes. It just feels a lot looser. Like I couldn’t do that before. Not really feeling much in the back, mostly tight hamstring., I couldn’t do one before. I just avoided that one.

It’s almost like I am laying differently now. That was always the hardest part to close this eye and keep this eye open. Not bad for an hour’s work. Yeah really! That’s pretty good, for not being able to whistle for almost four years.

It started about two and half years ago. My arm started feeling numb in my fingers and up my arm to my elbow. It started feeling raw and chafed. And when I bend my neck down I get shooting pains in my arm. And did you used to feel when you would do that (flexing neck). A lot of shooting pain to my arm and finger tips.

Eva Connors
Diagnosis: ulnar neuropathy 9 months | Treatments: 8
I have ulnar neuropathy. I pinched a nerve from a bad bike fit. Numbness all through my left arm. I couldn’t extend my pinky finger all the way and I have a lot of grip weakness too. I couldn’t even move the pinky with the single thin rubber band and now I can do it with the double wrapped thick rubber band. And I have been doing this all morning. I have had eight sessions. Before I came here I was banned from riding my bike, lifting weights, carrying dishes, carrying groceries, doing pretty much anything with my hand. I couldn’t open doors very well. I couldn’t open jars. I have been able to do daily tasks, open doors and jars and I am back riding my bike.

I brought him because of him complaining of neck pain, and I couldn’t touch his neck to brush his teeth.
Now he’s breathing better. I think because his neck is straighter now, he’s able to swallow more and his neck pain is gone.

That’s the first time you’ve been able to do that in over, what, four years? Yeah!

That is completely stretching right where it was holding. Look at that difference! Holy cow! There is no way I could have done that just a few minutes ago.

And to hold my wrist flexor up it feels pretty strong. And before it was like this, and I couldn’t hold it at all. The response time to bend my knee is just immediate. There’s no resistance whatsoever. I really had to think about even bending my hamstring before. Yeah, there’s no way I could do that. I’ve got movement, and I didn’t have any of that before.

I mean, in general, I don’t feel like I could be knocked over like I felt when I came in here. It’s incredible! I wish my mother could see this. I mean just recently, I feel like I can do it. I am going to be able to run!
I can hold my wrist flexor up and it feels pretty strong. And before it was like this and i couldn’t hold it at all. I just feel like the connection when I try to hold it going all down my arm. And I couldn’t feel it before. Before, when I tried to hold it, I couldn’t.
